Aircraft System Knowledge CBT: 4 days
Practical training on FFS 4x: 3 days
Skill Test: 1 day
Course Introduction – Classroom / Tests: 2 days
ZFTT – 1x FFS: 1 day

Course Description

  • Only those elements have to be taught, which are different from the “base” aircraft
  • A CCQ course is an abbreviated type rating course
  • Theoretical training is mainly performed using a state-of-the-art CBT/WBT program via web-based access on a laptop
  • Student pilots can contact an instructor throughout the theoretical phase of the course
  • Course introduction, one classroom lecture, and at least one Q&A sessions with the assistance of an instructor are provided as a minimum
  • Practical training is performed entirely on the full flight simulator
  • The minimum amount of FFS training is either three, or four missions of four hours each
  • Each practical training is preceded by a one-hour briefing and followed by a detailed debriefing by the instructor
  • The last FFS training mission is a “progress check” to properly document that the trainee is ready for the skill test
  • Each CCQ course finishes with a skill test on the FFS
  • Due to the commonality between the base aircraft and the target aircraft, landing training can be included in the skill test

CATC Flight Training courses can be enriched with an additional training:

  • AWO: If training beyond CAT1 competence is desired, an additional practical training lesson of four hours will be scheduled.
  • RNP RNAV: If RNP RNAV approach competence is desired, an additional practical training lesson of four hours will be scheduled.
  • ETOPS: If ETOPS competence is desired, an additional practical training lesson of four hours will be scheduled.
  • In case Upset recovery special training competence is desired, an additional practical training lesson of four hours will be scheduled.
  • If an additional LOFT – scenario based training is requested, an additional practical training lesson of four hours will be scheduled.
